Debbie Kraft hasn't added a story.
My name is Debbie Kraft. I met Megan and her children at a School Board meeting. I discovered that her 9 year old daughter, Tabitha, had been cruelly punished for wearing her mask "improperly" during class. This poor child was forced to face a brick wall in isolation during the entire recess period as a punishment. The teacher took this photo, and told Megan that her child was "pouting," "stubborn," "uncooperative," and that she would be there until "she figures this out." Megan brought this egregious behavior to attention of the school board on Monday evening. Megan works at the New Richmond middle school. On Thursday morning, she was called out of work by the District Administrator. He handed her a letter stating she was on administrative leave pending an investigation. There were no charges of any kind, or reason for this action given. She was told she was not allowed on school property, even though has four children in schools. She was handed her personal items in a plastic bag, and escorted out of the building. She was met in the parking lot with 2 squad cars that followed her as she left the parking lot.
Megan has been so brave! She is pursuing legal action against the school. We parents must #StandWithMegan as she fights the hard battle that must be fought to take back and safeguard our parental rights. The school cannot be allowed to inflict cruel and unusual punishment on defenseless children for their own agendas. They cannot be allowed to bully and silence parents who try to protect their children. Megan has been threatened by the school if she speaks to any parents, the school board, or media about her concerns. Megan cannot afford the legal fees on her own. This fight is our fight! We need to stand up now against this overreach of perceived school authority. They do not have this authority. The law is on Megan's side. But someone must bring it to the courts to stop them from doing it to more children. Please donate generously to Megan's legal defense. She is standing up for your children, too. Please don't let her stand alone. Please share this. Megan is counting on our support.
